Who we are

Zartek Technologies provides WibeChat, a messaging and voice/video calling application. The app is distributed through the Zartek developer account. This policy explains how information is handled when you use WibeChat. Contact our support team at info@zartek.in about this policy or your information.

Information used to provide the service

We process your name, email address, account identifier and sign-in credentials to create and authenticate your account. The app stores account credentials securely on your device to keep you signed in. We process messages, photos, videos, files and voice messages that you choose to send, along with conversation participants, group memberships, read status and activity/presence information. Your profile and activity may be visible to other members of the messaging service.

Calls and notifications

Voice and video calls transmit microphone and camera media to deliver the call. Call setup uses participant identifiers, display names, room identifiers and call state. Call history can include participants, timestamps, duration and outcome. Device installation identifiers, notification tokens, platform and app version are used for incoming-call and message notifications. Voice messages that you intentionally record and send are stored as shared content.

Diagnostics and service logs

We process crash reports, device and app diagnostic information, and server logs to investigate failures, secure the service and improve reliability. Service logs can include account identifiers, email addresses and call metadata. The app limits the information included in crash reports and does not enable session replay. We do not use the app to deliver advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.

Service providers and other recipients

The service uses Zulip for accounts, messaging and shared files; Google Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting, call state, notifications and server operations; Apple notification services on iOS; LiveKit and WibeChat calling services for real-time communications; and Sentry for crash diagnostics. These services process the information needed for their functions. Messages and media you send are made available to their conversation recipients. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with a lawful obligation or protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.

Permissions and your choices

Camera and microphone permissions support calls and the media you choose to create. Photo and file selection supports attachments. Notifications alert you to messages and calls, and Bluetooth access supports compatible call audio devices. You can manage these permissions in your device settings; declining a permission may prevent its related feature from working. The app does not import your device address book or request your location.

Retention and deletion requests

Signing out or uninstalling WibeChat does not delete your account or server-stored content. Account records, messages, uploads and call-related records can remain stored to provide the service; accounts do not automatically expire merely because you stop using the app. You can delete individual messages where the service permits. To request access, correction, account deletion or deletion of associated information, email info@zartek.in from your registered email address with the subject “WibeChat privacy request”. State the request and the account email, but never send a password or API key. Support may need to verify account ownership. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or resolution of disputes; recipients may keep copies of content already shared with them.

Security and international processing

The configured app services use encrypted HTTPS or WSS connections. This does not mean that messages or calls are end-to-end encrypted, and we do not make that claim. Information may be processed in countries where our infrastructure and service providers operate. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

Adults and updates

WibeChat is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies this version.
